Μια χοροθεατρική παράσταση για το αδιάκοπο κυνήγι της δόξας
Τι είναι τελικά η δόξα και γιατί την κυνηγάμε με τόση μανία;
Το GLORIA είναι μια αιχμηρή παράσταση που αποκαλύπτει έναν φαύλο κύκλο φιλοδοξίας και ματαιότητας, όπου η δόξα είναι πάντα ένα βήμα πιο πέρα.
Οι χορεύτριες αφηγούνται με τα σώματά τους αληθινές ιστορίες, φέρνοντας στο φως τις πιέσεις, τις βίαιες απαιτήσεις και τα βάρη, που συχνά κρύβει ο κόσμος του χορού και των παραστατικών τεχνών.
Το έργο συνδυάζει χορό, σωματικό θέατρο και μια εκλεπτυσμένη αισθητική, αποτυπώνοντας έναν κύκλο φιλοδοξίας και επιθυμίας, όπου η δόξα εμφανίζεται ως ένας φευγαλέος και δυσπρόσιτος στόχος.

Το έργο αυτό πραγματοποιείται με την πολύτιμη υποστήριξη της Acción Cultural Española (AC/E) και της Ισπανικής Πρεσβείας στην Ελλάδα.
ℹ️Η ομάδα
Η La Quebrá είναι μια ομάδα χορού από την Ισπανία, που συνδυάζει τον σύγχρονο χορό με σκηνικά μέσα, ισχυρή οπτική ταυτότητα και θεατρικά στοιχεία. Ιδρύθηκε το 2018 από την χορεύτρια και χορογράφο Irene García και τον σχεδιαστή φωτισμού και σκηνικών Sergi Cerdan.
Γνωστοί για το ειρωνικό τους ύφος και τη δυνατή οπτική αισθητική, χρησιμοποιούν το χιούμορ ως εργαλείο σύνδεσης με νέο κοινό. Δημιουργούν ένα σκηνικό σύμπαν γοητευτικό και προκλητικό, που αμφισβητεί τις συμβάσεις και επαναπροσδιορίζει τα όρια της σκηνικής τέχνης.

Α physical theatre performance about the relentless pursuit of glory
What does glory really look like and why do we chase it so hard?
GLORIA is a sharp, ironic and visually stunning ride through ambition, desire and the absurd beauty of it all.
Through their bodies and movement, the dancers give voice to real-life experiences, exposing the pressures, violences, and demands often found in the world of dance and performing arts.
The piece combines dance, physical theatre, and a refined aesthetic to depict a cycle of aspiration and longing, where glory appears as a fleeting and elusive goal.

ℹ️The group
La Quebrá is a contemporary dance group from Spain, that blends contemporary movement with scenographic elements, a strong visual identity and theatrical language. It was founded in 2018 by dancer and choreographer Irene García and lighting/set designer Sergi Cerdan.
Known for their ironic tone and striking visual aesthetics, they use humor as a tool to engage new audiences. Their work creates a captivating and provocative stage universe that challenges conventions and redefines the boundaries of performance art.
